Day 50 - Making every second count

Good morning lovely ladies!

Today we have reached a milestone!! Today is Day 50 of my wee morning messages! Thank you so much for doing this with me - it’s been so encouraging knowing we are all on this journey together. And we will make it through to the other side - eventually!!

Today’s verses (there are a couple!) are here to remind us of something important.

“This is the day the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalms‬ ‭118:24‬ ‭

We all woke up this morning , ladies! We have all been given a new day with 1440 minutes to really do something amazing and to make connections! Even if that amazing thing is to just stop, slow down and actually do something enjoyable with the people in your quarantine circle!

“Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see.
For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you.”
Isaiah‬ ‭60:1‬ ‭

The message puts it a little more bluntly - “Get out of bed, Jerusalem! Wake up. Put your face in the sunlight. GOD ’s bright glory has risen for you.” A reminder to get up and shine for God in this world of darkness and to thank Him for a brand new day of sunshine (even if it’s raining!!)

“Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
Lamentations‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭

God gives us what we need every day - we don’t need to stockpile His love or grace, like we stocked up on loo rolls! Every morning His mercies begin afresh. The same way a new year brings us hope and an excitement of what is to come - each new day is the same!

We have 24 hours - 1440 minutes - 86,400 seconds today. What are you going to do with them?
