Day 18 - Stand together

For Mother’s Day the boys bought me Disney + for a year... although they seem to be getting a lot more out of it so far than I am!!! Big surprise!!

But we do love Disney, so last night we went into full cinema mode - lights out, no phones and snacks - and watched Captain America: Civil War.

There are lots of reasons to love this movie - the scene at the airport, the final moments and the tunnel scenes are just a few.

But the thing that makes this villain different than most others is his  motivation. He lost his family but knows that he’s not strong enough to kill the Avengers. His solution...

Zemo: An empire toppled by its enemies can rise again.
But one which crumbles from within? That's dead... forever.

This is so true. And can be for yourself too. At this time in lockdown we need to be careful that we are patient, loving and kind to those we are with. We need to be make sure we are doing everything we can to come out of this stronger, better people. We need to make sure we are not tearing ourselves down but rather building each other up.

The bible says

“A kingdom divided by civil war will collapse.
Similarly, a family splintered by feuding will fall apart.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭3:24-25‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Let’s make sure that our houses, families and faith stand strong. What can you do for someone that will brighten up their day today?
