Day 16 - Waiting for God

“But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith
by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God’s love,
keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our
Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!”

‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:20-21‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Plans are forever changing. I know that my plans are anyway! At this very moment Ryan, Micah and I are supposed to be in Scotland, doing some skiing, white-water rafting and visiting Loch Ness!

But we aren’t. We are together in our house waiting to see what’s going to happen in the world.

My plans didn’t happen. But God’s plans do. We talked before about how God’s plans are much better than ours, because He sees the bigger picture.

What’s important is that we are always in the centre of God’s love.

While we wait to see what happens, when the virus dies, when we are allowed to get back to some degree of ‘normal’, we need to focus on what God’s plans are.

In this period of waiting, ask Him the hard questions. Ask Him what He wants you to do. Ask Him where you should be going with your life and what you should be doing.

You might be very surprised at the answers.
