Being stuck in the house during a lockdown like this can be a very lonely thing. Even if you are in a house full of people, it can feel like you are all alone with no one who understands or gets you. Having 4 teenagers in the house definitely has me feeling like that sometimes!
But we are not alone.
This is an amazing verse. There is so much encouragement and love packed into it!
Not only are we reminded that God is with us, but we are also reminded of what that means. Think about it.
He is the one who has the power to let us have another day on this earth or take us home to Him. We need to be much more thankful every morning that we wake to a brand new day. God seriously cares what you do and He loves to celebrate with you. He created us to be in a relationship with Him and He loves nothing more than if we pray. Because prayer is a conversation with God - that’s all! Nothing complicated about it!
He is the one we need to turn to in order to truly have peace in the middle of this crisis. He alone can give us a sense of calmness that will help our anxious hearts to rest. And guess what - that’s what He wants to do in your life right now!
Loneliness is a horrible feeling but I’m here to remind you that even though social distancing and self-isolation means I can’t give you a hug right now, God is with you, we are all here for you and together we’ll get through this.
