Lockdown

So this is my first post in a while. The world has been a little crazy recently and I've been figuring out the new normal. We are officially in lock-down. The government have given us some guidelines:-

  • Stay at home
  • You can leave the house for only a few reasons
  • To go to work if you are a key worker (NHS, food shop staff, transport etc)
  • To go out to get groceries or medicine
  • To exercise once a day

It's crazy. But it is vital. We can save so many lives by staying at home. We have so many vulnerable people in our communities that have underlying health problems, and we need to protect them. And so now we sit at home and we figure out how to deal with our new normal.

So far I have been off school for a week with my two wee ones, while the two bigger ones finished all their A-level and GCSE coursework. We've now had four days of being in the house all together, so I thought I'd share some of our activities with you!

We've had lots of movie time...

Started a games tournament...

And gone out for lots of amazing walks...
Newtownards Duck Pond

Scrabo Tower

Helen's Tower

The Floodgates

These walks have helped us keep our sanity during the lock-down, and given us so much needed fresh air. Even when I didn't want to go, they always made me feel better.

And to help all of our wee kids from school through the stress of not seeing our lovely faces, I am recording a story a day for them! Check them out!! https://www.youtube.com/user/tenixon/

I have also been focusing on the fact that God is in control. He totally is. There's not a day that occurs that God doesn't already know what is going to happen. He has this. He is not surprised. And He is in control.

We just need to stay inside, have faith, trust and believe.
