I really want to spend more time reading, so I’ve set myself a challenge to read 20 books in 2020. I know that if I actually focus on it I can read way more than that in a year, but I want to read them properly and really take in what they are saying. So, this is my list to start off the year:
1. Confessions of a prayer slacker – Diane Moody
2. Bringing up boys - Dr James Dobson
3. Girls with swords: how to carry your cross like a hero – Lisa Bevere
4. It’s not supposed to be like this – Lysa Terkeurst
5. The life-giving home: creating a place of belonging and beauty – Sally Clarkson
6. The art of daily resilience – Debbie Duncan
7. Named by God – Kasey Van Norman
8. Uninvited – Lysa Terkeurst
9. Fiercehearted: live fully, love bravely – Holly Gerth
10. Let it go – Karen Ehman
11. Overwhelmed: how to quiet the chaos and restore your sanity – Kath Lipp and Cheri Gregory
12. The power of a praying parent – Stormie Omartian
13. Listen, Love, Repeat – Karen Ehman
14. Life lines – Debbie Duncan and Cathy Le Feuvre
15. Present over perfect – Shauna Niequist
16. Women who do too much - Patricia Sprinkle
17. Rhythms of rest – Shelley Miller
18. Just give me Jesus – Anne Graham Lotz
19. Preparing sons – Steven Maxwell
20. Life management for busy women – Elizabeth George
What books are you reading? And good ones I should add on for after I read these? I've tried to arrange my list so I'm reading an ebook and then a good old fashioned paperback - my preferred option, but i only have so much room in my house!
Keep shining xxx
Hi Tanya, thanks for this amazing list!!! I'm always looking for book recommendations!
ReplyDeleteI'd recommend Rhythms of Renewal by Rebekah Lyons, and I'm currently reading Invitation to Retreat by Ruth Barton and it is so so good I've underlined half of the book!!!
Happy reading!!!
Fantastic! I'll add them to my list!
