I have been thinking a lot recently about the people in my life. Mostly the women. I come from a line of strong women - from my Nanny and my Nanna - to my Mum and my sisters. These women helped to mould me into the woman I am today and so I have been thinking about how inspirational they are.
On my Instagram account I have been sharing pictures of women in my life, and I wanted to write a little about them. Every day in November I will be sharing an inspirational woman from my life - and they are all truly inspirational.
Over the course of their lives and their families lives, they have dealt with and overcome lots of different issues. And they have done it with grace and love. They have dealt with divorce, abuse, loss of a parent, loss of a husband, loss of a child, infertility, post-natal depression, anxiety, chronic sickness, cancer, homelessness, loneliness, abandonment, eating disorders, alcoholism, step-families, hard marriages, big families, stereotypes, plain old depression, weight issues, lies...
And they all smile, love, encourage and enable the rest of us to be blessed by having them in our lives.
I am in awe of how these women live with all that they have to live with, and I know that most of them only do it because of the grace of God in their lives. He really does make that big a difference. They can smile and bless others because He has changed their perspectives and their hearts. No matter what is happening in the world around them, they have this calmness, grace and beauty that only He can give them.
He truly is their strength. He truly is their hope. And He truly changes lives.
Our God truly reigns.
