Good morning lovely ladies!
So yesterday I was helping my hubby with something and I found this poster.
Wow - I know we have talked quite a bit about gratitude and being thankful in all situations, but this really made me think.
Do we really appreciate how blessed we are. Really...
Read it again -
IF YOU HAVE...
* Food in your fridge 🥘
* Clothes on your back 👕
* A roof over your head 🏠
* A place to sleep 🛏
You are richer than 75% of the world.
We all are blessed to have these things - and we take them for granted so much. When you think back to even the whole fuss over TOILET ROLL - it’s shocking. And over this lockdown I must have given away (to the recycling) at least 20 bags of clothes that don’t fit anymore.

IF YOU HAVE
* Money in the bank money 💰
* In your purse
* And spare change
You are among the TOP 8% of the worlds wealthy.
I think this is a very definite WOW moment because we are always looking for more money - whether you want to admit it or not. If we just had a wee bit more for x, y and z life would be perfect... but we are so blessed we don’t see it anymore.

IF YOU WOKE UP THIS MORNING
with more health than illness...
You are more blessed than the million people who won’t survive this week.
This is a hard one when it comes to this period of time, because there are still people fighting for their lives, and not just with the corona-virus, but we need to appreciate and be thankful for every single day we wake up. It really is a gift.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED the danger of battle,
the agony of imprisonment and torture, or the horrible pangs of starvation...
You are luckier than 500 million people who are alive and suffering.
We all like to think we are suffering at times - when we are in a self pitying cycle or someone has hurt us - but really? We need a reality check every so often to remind us how blessed we really are.
———————————
I know that we all know that we are blessed. But how often do we actually take the time to thank God for the fact that we were born in Northern Ireland - or wherever you were born - and that we have been born into a life that a lot of people can only dream of? It’s easy to look around us and see big fancy cars, huge houses, expensive clothes and things, and feel jealous. But when we really consider what most of the world has to live with, we need to be really careful to be thankful in all things.
Sorry if that’s a bit deep for our penultimate day but I think it’s especially important as we go into a summer that’s very different to what we had planned!!
"Rejoice always, pray continually,
give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
